Upon being diagnosed with type-2 diabetes, I knew I needed to make significant lifestyle changes, starting with my food choices.
Initially, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of what products I could purchase that would not adversely affect my blood sugar levels.
Deciphering food labels only added to my confusion and frustration.
After spending countless hours in grocery stores trying to understand these labels and their implications for a diabetic,
I realized I needed a better solution. I envisioned an app that could scan barcodes, interpret the nutritional information,
and provide a clear indication—either a green checkmark to place the item in my cart or to return it to the shelf.
What began as a personal project quickly evolved into a tool that I believe can help others facing similar challenges. Despite the extensive research on diabetes over the years, there seemed to be a lack of accessible tools to simplify our daily choices, making our lives easier, healthier, and safer.
This app aims to fill that gap.
